A Healthy Body is Healthy Mind, Really?.

I am sure you have heard these zillions of times. However, everything has evolved in the last two decades, and so has “A healthy mind is a healthy Body.”
Mental health and physical health go hand in hand. It’s like needle and thread. Who is more important to weave??
The same principle applies to mental and physical health. These are the needle and thread of our life. We must sustain both of them.
We are much more aware of mental health’s importance for physical well-being.

Mental health affects our physical health: as mentioned earlier, they are interconnected. For example, chronic stress and anxiety can affect the risk of physical health problems like cardiovascular health, Diabetes, and many more.

Mental health affects motivation: Our motivational effect to exercise is primarily influenced by our mental state. If someone is feeling down, anxious or depressed, finding the motivation to exercise can be very challenging. Conversely, If someone is happy, feeling positive will be highly motivated to exercise.

Mental health affects our energy level: Depression and anxiety suck up energy. As a result, the person feels exhausted, adversely affecting the energy to exercise. In addition, a person feels utterly bare throughout the day, making any task appear like moving a mountain.

Mental health effects training: If anyone has ever dealt with a client going through some issues in life, they are aware the client has no mental energy to push or train at a high-intensity level which he would normally.

Mental Health affects our eating Habits: What happens when someone feels low emotionally? They want to eat something comforting. Unfortunately, at that moment, they are not in the state to make healthy choices as their brain is too occupied, leading to poor food choices eventually becoming a pattern.

After reading the above point, you understand why a “ Healthy mind is a Healthy Body”.
